Projects & Research

Ana works as an independent contractor and is working on Early Years Workshops projects, graduate-level projects as well as workplace research on an ongoing basis.

In the drop-down menu, you will also see writing that Ana has done as well as pedagogical artifacts to learn more about Ana’s pedagogical frameworks that inform her work.

The Facilitator Network (2021- Ongoing)

Recognizing the need for independent facilitators to connect, Ana began a facilitator network to support others who want to share their content but may not know where to start. The network is open to experienced and new facilitators.

Research Project (2021- Ongoing)

Working alongside the Coalition of Child Care Advocates of BC, Ana has conducted a literature review and parent survey to better understand how to enhance inclusion in child care spaces. The project is ongoing and will include a final analysis.

Early Years Self Paced Workshops (2021- Ongoing)

Recognizing that all educators are primarily made up of women who are overworked, underpaid, and not always able to attend live learning sessions, Ana began turning her workshops into affordable self-paced professional development. The idea is to lower the price of the self-paced workshops as more learning content is added to the library to increase accessibility.

Stories of Racism Analysis (2020)

As part of an undergraduate project, Ana read and analyzed various ‘stories of racism’ from the Diaries of Minorities and ECE Racism Research Space website. The analysis made visible the covert and pervasiveness of racism in early childhood.
